Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center
For nearly 50 years, the Center has made a vital difference in the lives of the young people of New York City and beyond. Today, the Center is one of the largest freestanding providers of outpatient adolescent health services in the world-offering medical, sexual and reproductive, mental, dental, and optical health services, and health education. This year, the Center will provide free health services to more than 10,000 urban adolescents, ages 10 to 24, who might otherwise not have access to care.
By providing confidential, comprehensive, and interdisciplinary health services, the Center gives vulnerable youth the tools to grow into healthy and productive adults. By empowering patients to become full and responsible partners in their health care, the Center's work results in lowered rates of teen pregnancy, substance abuse, and untreated mental health issues.
