Gerald J. & Dorothy R. Friedman Center for Lymphedema Research and Treatment

The Gerald J. & Dorothy R. Friedman Center for Lymphedema Research and Treatment is focused on clinical and scientific research with the goal of developing novel treatments for Lymphedema, Lipedema, and other co-morbidities. The Center’s Director, Mark L. Smith, MD, Chief, Plastic Surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and his team have developed a reverse lymphatic mapping technique that has proven to be ground breaking in treating these medical conditions. While more research and trials are needed the results have been transformational and offer hope to patients with these conditions, for whom very few medical remedies currently exist. With the help of your contribution, we can continue to provide the highest level of health care and advance medical research in this critical area.
